Starting out, and what a paid level changes
Joining costs nothing. A new member begins on Classic, which lets you build a profile, browse and send a limited number of messages a day, and lets you read and reply to messages from VIP and VIP Plus members. VIP removes the daily cap on messages and adds search by city, distance and what someone is open to. VIP Plus puts your messages and likes ahead of others in the queue. Boosts and Super Match are paid add-ons on top of it.
See the features page for the detail, or the main site's pricing page if you want the long version.
Renewing, stopping and getting money back
The weekly, monthly, three-month and six-month plans carry on at the price you started on until you cancel, charged only when the paid period is over. The twelve-month plans are a single payment. To stop a plan, ask support or the chat bot and an email brings you a cancellation link; your paid benefits last to the end of the period, and your profile stays. The member terms call purchases generally final, apart from refunds that the law requires.
